HALOFIX reviews both sides' evidence. If the work is at fault, you confirm the return visit within 24 hours and complete it within 72 hours. If you refuse, HALOFIX can refund the Resident, recovered from your job payment and payouts. A refund for workmanship covers labor only (up to $500; $1,000 for Resident Plus members). Your account may be closed separately. Refund or cashback for your work is your responsibility as the Hero of record.

Warning Before A Lapse
Insurance or license lapse surprise
Expiration dates are monitored daily. A Hero is alerted by email and dashboard notification before a policy expires. If a policy lapses, the Hero stops receiving new job offers until a current certificate is uploaded and reviewed. The account is not suspended and work already assigned to that Hero is unaffected. This dispatch hold does not apply to appliance repair. An expired license on a regulated trade stops new job offers in the same way.
A Single Low Rating Won't Delay Offers

A low rating alone does not delay your offers: every matched Hero is offered a job at the same time, and the first to accept gets it. If your latest 2 bad reviews (2 stars or lower) are not fixed, new job offers stop until HALOFIX USA reviews your account; your current jobs and payouts continue.

Unlicensed competition
For every trade that needs a Florida license, job offers go only to Heroes whose license HALOFIX has accepted. HALOFIX does not require a Florida DBPR license for appliance repair alone.
HALOFIX does not guarantee any minimum number of jobs, minimum earnings, or any opportunity to earn labor in the higher commission bands. The final job bill is set through the Hero quote and Resident approval process.

HALOFIX commission is charged in milestone bands on the Hero's labor only: 25% of the first $1,000 of labor; 15% of labor from $1,000 to $2,000; 10% of labor above $2,000. Each rate applies only to the labor inside its band, so earning more never lowers what a Hero keeps on earlier dollars (for example, $1,500 of labor carries $325 commission). Which trades and credentials do I need?
HALOFIX offers jobs in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Roofing, and Appliance Repair. For Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Roofing, you need a Florida license that HALOFIX accepts before you receive offers in that trade. HALOFIX does not require a Florida DBPR license for appliance repair alone. General liability insurance is optional for appliance repair; a Hero who carries it must meet the platform minimum.
How do job offers work?
A few Heroes receive the same offer and the first to accept gets the job. Every offer has a time limit, and an expired offer moves on to other Heroes. You see the service, city, ZIP, urgency and estimate, never the street. Accept in your dashboard. The street address unlocks when you start live location, never earlier than 3 hours before the appointment.
When do I get paid for a job?
HALOFIX holds your share of each job and releases it automatically: right after a review with no complaint, or 2 business days after the job is completed if there is no review. A written complaint, or a rating of 2 stars or less with a written reason, keeps it on hold until HALOFIX has reviewed it. A rating of 2 stars or less with no reason holds it for 3 days. The first live payout is typically scheduled 7-14 days after the first successful payment and may take longer depending on Stripe review; later payouts follow the Hero's Stripe payout schedule and bank processing. Stripe payout fees are deducted from your payout: $2 on your first payout each month, plus 0.25% + $0.25 on each job's transfer to your Stripe account.
What happens if a Resident opens a dispute?
A Resident can open a dispute up to 30 days after completion. You are notified. HALOFIX reviews both sides' evidence. What does the Available for jobs switch do?
When it is off, you get no new offers and no job texts. Turn it on when you are ready to work.
Can I keep my own clients and work on other platforms?
Yes. You may work for other platforms, keep your own clients outside HALOFIX and run your own business. The one limit is about Residents you met through HALOFIX: For 24 months following your last completed job through HALOFIX USA, you agree not to solicit, accept, or perform services for any Resident you were connected with through the platform outside of the HALOFIX USA platform.
Are job texts required?
No. Job texts are sent only with your consent. Offers also reach you by email and in your dashboard, and you can turn on push notifications on your phone.
What if a Resident cancels late?
If a Resident cancels late and the booking hold is forfeited, the whole hold stays with HALOFIX. A Hero receives no share of a late-cancellation fee.
What is my HALOFIX ID?
Your HALOFIX ID and QR code are on your dashboard. A scan opens a public page that shows only your verification status.
How do I update my license or insurance?
Upload the current certificate in your HALOFIX dashboard. It is reviewed before new offers resume if a credential had lapsed.
When do I see the Resident street address?
The exact street address unlocks when you start live location, never earlier than 3 hours before the appointment. Before that you see the city and ZIP.
