What "Reviewed" Actually Means
We use the word "reviewed" to mean a specific, verifiable checklist - not a marketing term.
Required License Verified
For DBPR-licensed trades, lookup confirms the required license is active, not expired or suspended.
General Liability Insurance
Certificate of insurance on file where the trade requires it.
Optional Hero-Provided Report
HALOFIX does not run background checks. A Hero may voluntarily provide a report they already hold; it is not required for approval.
Ongoing Review Monitoring
Every matched Hero is offered a job at the same time. A Hero whose latest bad reviews are not fixed stops receiving new job offers until HALOFIX reviews the account.
Your Questions Answered
For emergency services, we target dispatch within 2 hours where Hero coverage is available; actual arrival varies by service area and demand. For routine work, most bookings are confirmed with a scheduled appointment within 24 hours.
If the Hero does not show up or does not complete the work, the $89 ($125 for Emergency bookings) booking hold is released and not charged. If you are unhappy with the work itself, you can make a warranty claim. A warranty claim is remedied by the Hero coming back to fix the work. A warranty claim does not pay money. If the Hero still refuses, HALOFIX can open a dispute for you. Money back is decided only in a dispute. A refund decided in a dispute covers only the labor cost, up to $500; $1,000 for Resident Plus members, and never parts or property damage.
Yes. Your booking confirmation shows the Hero profile, available license or credential status, insurance details, and photo before arrival.
Upload photos of your issue and our AI analyzes them to provide a non-binding cost range. The actual price is confirmed by the Hero after inspection. AI estimates are validated against our price database to prevent wildly inaccurate figures.
