Insurance & Credentials
The Same Standard for Every Hero
Every HALOFIX Hero's insurance is verified and on file, and required Florida trade licenses or federal certifications are checked for every service that has one. Workers' Comp or valid exempt status.

These are the platform minimums. Higher coverage is welcome and reflected in your Hero trust score.
License/Credential Review
DBPR-regulated trades are checked against Florida records at onboarding. Appliance refrigerant sealed-system work requires EPA Section 608 certification. Lapsed, suspended, or inactive required credentials trigger platform review.
General Liability Insurance (Minimum Set by Trade)
Certificate of insurance (COI) on file at onboarding showing general liability coverage at or above the HALOFIX minimum for your trade: plumbing $1M, HVAC $1M, electrical $1M, roofing $2M, appliance repair $500K. Insurer, policy number, coverage amount, and expiration date all verified. Expiration dates are monitored daily and you are alerted by email and dashboard notification before a policy expires. If coverage lapses, you stop receiving new job offers until a current certificate is uploaded and reviewed - your account is not suspended and work already assigned to you is unaffected.
Optional Report Review
HALOFIX does not order background checks or ask you to obtain one. You may voluntarily provide a consumer report or state record you already hold for manual review. Providing a report is not required for approval.
Workers' Compensation (Required or Exempt)
Active Florida Workers' Comp coverage required at onboarding - OR a valid Construction Industry Exempt status (FL §440.05). Multi-employee Hero companies must provide coverage proof for crew.
