Resident files claim
Resident opens dispute in dashboard within warranty window. Photos, written description, and the job's before/during/after documentation are attached automatically.

Hero notified + evidence collection
You receive SMS + email with the full claim and 48 hours to respond with your evidence (your photos, completion certificate, any post-job communication).

Neutral platform review
HALOFIX dispute team reviews both sides against the original scope of work, photos, and platform policy. Decision typically within 5 business days.

Resolution path
Outcomes: (a) Hero re-inspect at no charge, (b) replacement Hero dispatched, (c) partial refund from platform up to membership cap, or (d) claim denied with documented reasoning. All decisions appealable once.

Fair Process

Magnuson-Moss + UCC Compliance
The dispute process complies with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 USC §§ 2301-2312) for written warranty disputes, and the Uniform Commercial Code implied-warranty provisions are honored (not disclaimed). Platform resolution caps ($500 Free tier / $1,000 Premium) represent the maximum HALOFIX platform contribution toward remediation - they do not limit your own warranty obligations as the Hero of record.
