Booking & Scheduling
Select your service category, describe the issue, choose a date and time, upload photos for an AI estimate, and pay the $50 diagnostic deposit. Your booking is confirmed instantly.
A refundable deposit that confirms your booking and compensates the Hero for travel time if you cancel late. It is fully credited to your final invoice. If the Hero does not show up, you receive a full refund.
Routine services can be booked same-day through next week. Emergency services are dispatched within 2 hours, 24 hours a day. Specialized work may require 2β5 days lead time.
You may reschedule or cancel up to 2 hours before the appointment at no charge through your dashboard or by calling (786) 550-2580. Late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the $50 deposit.
Yes. If you have worked with a Hero through HALOFIX USA before, you can request them when booking. Availability is not guaranteed but we do our best to accommodate repeat requests.
Hero Vetting & Safety
Every Hero passes a 5-step vetting process: (1) Florida DBPR license verification in real time, (2) general liability insurance certificate review, (3) FDLE sex offender registry and public court records review, (4) skills assessment by our Hero relations team, and (5) ongoing monitoring with daily license and insurance status checks.
Yes. Your booking confirmation includes the Hero's Florida DBPR license number, insurance certificate details, and photo. We also generate a digital ID card you can verify when they arrive.
We run daily checks against the Florida DBPR database. Any Hero whose license expires or is suspended is immediately deactivated from the platform. Existing jobs are reassigned to qualified Heroes.
No. Heroes are independent professionals who operate their own licensed businesses. HALOFIX USA is a 100% automated dispatch engine that connects Residents with these independent Heroes. All Heroes are required to maintain their own licenses, insurance, and legal compliance.
Payments & Escrow
Your payment is held in escrow until you review the invoice and confirm the work is satisfactory. Only after you release the payment are funds transferred to the Hero. This typically takes 24β48 hours to process.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfers, and Apple/Google Pay via Stripe. Cash payments over $10,000 require IRS Form 8300 filing as required by federal law.
No. HALOFIX USA charges zero platform fees to Residents. You pay only the agreed service price plus the $50 diagnostic deposit. Our revenue comes from a commission paid by the Hero.
Do not release the escrow payment. Contact our support team within 7 days of job completion. Our dispute resolution team will review the situation, collect evidence from both parties, and facilitate a fair resolution before releasing any funds.
If the Hero fails to complete the work, performs substandard work confirmed by our review team, or does not show up, you are entitled to a full refund of any escrowed funds. The $50 diagnostic deposit is refunded if the Hero fails to appear.
AI Estimates & Pricing
AI estimates are a non-binding range based on photo analysis and our database of Florida jobs. They are validated against service-specific price bounds to prevent wildly inaccurate figures. The actual price is always confirmed by the Hero after professional inspection.
AI estimates are based on photos and may not capture hidden damage, material costs, or scope changes discovered during the job. The actual price requires a physical assessment. Heroes must obtain Resident approval before proceeding with any work beyond the original scope.
Yes. Uploading photos and receiving an AI estimate range is completely free, with no booking required. The $50 deposit is only charged when you confirm a booking.
Warranties & Guarantees
If you're not satisfied with the workmanship quality, contact us within 30 days and we'll send another vetted Hero to re-inspect and correct the issue at no additional platform fee. Parts and materials are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.
All completed jobs come with a workmanship warranty stored in your HALOFIX Warranty Vault for 7 years. Warranty terms vary by service type and Hero. Warranty documents are Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act compliant.
All warranty documents are automatically stored in your Warranty Vault, accessible at any time from your Resident dashboard. You can also request email delivery of any warranty document.
Contact HALOFIX USA within the warranty period. We will dispatch the original Hero (or a qualified replacement) to address the issue at no additional cost. If the original Hero is unavailable, we coordinate a like-for-like replacement.
Legal & Compliance
Yes. Florida Statute Β§ 501.160 prohibits charging more than 10% above pre-emergency prices for essential services during a declared State of Emergency. HALOFIX USA automatically enforces these limits by snapshotting pre-emergency pricing when an emergency is declared.
Every HALOFIX Hero undergoes our mandatory 5-point verification: FL DBPR license confirmation, general liability insurance verification ($1M minimum), government ID check, FDLE sex offender registry screening, and Florida public court records review. Heroes who complete additional voluntary screening earn our Enhanced Screening badge.
Never. Unlike lead-generation platforms that sell your contact information to multiple contractors, HALOFIX connects you directly with one vetted Hero. Your data is never sold, shared, or rented to third parties.
Your data is protected under Florida's Information Protection Act (FIPA) and, where applicable, CCPA. We encrypt data in transit and at rest, never sell your personal data to third parties, and provide full CCPA rights (access, deletion, opt-out) in your account settings.
For in-home sales contracts over $25 signed at your home, Florida law gives you 3 business days to cancel without penalty (FTC Cooling-Off Rule, 16 C.F.R. Β§ 429). HALOFIX USA service agreements include a 3-day cancellation right notice as required.
Florida is a two-party consent state (Florida Statute Β§ 934.03). HALOFIX USA displays a conspicuous recording notice before any calls or interactions that may be recorded. You may decline recording and still receive full service.
