HALOFIX USA LLC is an automated home services marketplace platform. Heroes operate as independent contractors (IRS 1099). HALOFIX reviews required licenses or credentials where applicable, insurance documentation, and applicable public-records or registry signals. HALOFIX does not perform home services directly, does not employ Heroes, and does not guarantee specific job outcomes. Verification badges reflect documentation reviewed at the time of onboarding. Emergency pricing is reviewed under HALOFIX policy and Florida Statute 501.160 during declared states of emergency. 3-day right of cancellation applies to in-home solicitations per Florida law.
Terminology: Throughout HALOFIX USA marketing and UI content, “Resident” refers to the homeowner (property owner who books a service); “Hero” refers to the independent service professional (legally classified as an independent contractor, IRS 1099); “Partner” refers to the affiliate referral network member. All legal documents, IRS filings, FL DBPR records, FCRA disclosures, and statutory references use the standard regulatory terminology (homeowner, contractor, affiliate). The UI branding and the legal terminology refer to the same parties - the platform uses HALOFIX brand terms in marketing for clarity and respect, while preserving the regulatory canonical names in all compliance contexts.
